Lettering Practice

Lately, it seems, more and more people I meet/know have been asking me if I would teach a lettering class/take & make class. I would absolutely love to do this and am currently working on the logistics of it all. But, in the meantime, I'm compiling some resources for you so you can start some practicing on your own! Here are the first three things you need to know about hand lettering beforehand: Your handwriting is different than mine. You and I aren't going to have the exact style of writing. You may hold your pencil in a different position or apply...

We ship everywhere (within the US & Canada)

Create Your Own Visited States Map Here is a fun map that is circulating Facebook showing the states people have visited. Well, we are using it to show all of the states that we've shipped Crafty Ginger products to since our launch in 2015 (the states filled in with red/pink color)! We are off to a nice little start and are hoping to fill in more of this map in the upcoming years! Check out our "What's new?" collection to see what is being added to the shop!

The Beauty of the Blanket Ladder

The Beauty of the Blanket Ladder

The blanket ladder is one of the greatest decor necessities in my home! I love, love, love it! You see, I live in Texas and we have winterish every other week or so. So, my blankets are on and off my ladder constantly! This ladder is more than a decorative piece in my home. It's functional. The warmer weather we had this week (it was in the 80s on Tuesday) has me thinking of what I will do with this little beauty once I hide the warm, fuzzy blankets due to the warmer/hotter months. As I often do when I have a query...

DIY: Ribbon Curtain Photo Backdrop

I was asked by a 16 year old birthday girl to make a photo backdrop for her and her friends for her party. So, I made a ribbon curtain backdrop for the occasion! It is actually pretty simple and the end result is adorable! These ribbon curtains photograph really well and look great under any photo filter.   Supplies: 1/4" x 2" x 4ft (longer/shorter) hobby board (from Home Depot)  Ribbon. TONS of it! I try to get the ribbon WITHOUT the wired edge. Get different patterns, widths, textures, colors, etc. Dollar Tree and Michael's worked for me for purchasing ribbon Scissors Hot glue gun...

Jenna's table

Jenna's table

I'm making a table for little Jenna. She's almost 4 and needs a table of her own to do the things little 4-year old girls do! I started off by painting the boards for the table top in turquoise, pink, brown and white. Before this is all said and done, I'll sand these boards again to make sure the rough edges and splinters are gone. I'm thankful for spring break (a perk of being a teacher)! Today I got the legs cut and the frame built. This little table is going to be so cute! I'm excited! So after a...
