My mom and dad think it is really funny that I am the one who wants the power tools and my brother doesn't. I've taken a liking to working with saws, sanders and nail guns. It is my therapy, to an extent.  Last week, my dad taught me how to use his miter saw. That is one magical piece of equipment! I love it and I want one of my own! One of my new favorite things that I'm making is the serving tray. I am making them from 100% found goods (curbside pick-up, yard sales, garage sale groups on Facebook, the Amish market, etc.).  I see these trays as necessities to intimate conversation times with friends or loved ones. I see someone using it in the morning to sit outside with their coffee, toast and devotional material. And, I see it being used around a fire pit as a place to set your Shiner, cigars and peanuts. A little about me...

My name is Cheryl and by day (and August - May) I am an art teacher but in my spare time, I have taken to building and creating home accents from wood scraps, torn down fences, discarded pallets and even furniture left on the curb. I'm crafty (and even though the "ginger" is fading, I still claim it)! I make all of these pieces myself. I design, cut, sand, paint, stain, and letter it all.
